A Sinner's Vision

Why "Sinner Vision"?

The clients I predomentantly work with are queer folk, trans folk, and sex workers - all of those communities have been called sinners at some point in time, myself included. So that's where "Sinner" comes from, but what about "Vision"?

As a whole Sinner Vision is a play on the phrase "Inner Vision"

Artist Bio:

Erin Degroote is a trans photographer based in Vancouver, Canada specializing in fetish, boudoir, and portrait photography.

Incorporating grunge aesthetics, dark surrealism, and eerie natural and industrial locations, they collaborate with models from the queer, trans and sex worker communities to produce images that portay their subjects in a powerful and creative light.

As a self-taught artist, they have spent over a decade exploring light, colour, and form through digital photography, and their work is marked by attention to detail in composition and exposure, with an editing style that emphasizes subtleties created in-camera.

Taking a synergistic approach with the individuals they photograph, they work with models’ input and feedback on concepts while shooting, striving to create photos that subjects see themselves in.
